About this Collaboration
The South Mississippi Humanities Network is a collaboration of the area organizations – universities, colleges, libraries, museums, historical societies and many more – that comprise the local humanities community. The Network forms part of a national initiative, supported by the Whiting Foundation and administered by the National Humanities Alliance and the Federation of State Humanities Councils, to showcase the unique contributions that humanities organizations make to the lives of their communities. We invite you to explore the many facets of the South Mississippi humanities community through this website, and to learn about the ways in which you can get involved with and support our work. Welcome!
